Join in the exciting world of Reenacting with the 1st US Company D, “The Fighting First”.
As the Arizona Civil War Council, (ACWC) we join with Union and Confederate re-enactors throughout the Great State of Arizona, and it’s sister states of New Mexico, California, Utah and those Hallowed Battlefields of the Eastern Theater to organize events and encourage activities throughout the state. Company D participates in reenactments of Civil War events and living history throughout the area defended by the “The Fighting First”. Our major focus is educating those that wish to learn about the Civil War and all its glory including the furthermost most skirmish battle that took place in the Arizona territory known as the “The Battle of Picacho Pass” at Picacho Peak. As the North’s loyal defenders during the Civil War, we also participate in Regional and National events.
Our members include young and old, men, women and children in which, we all portray a variety of authentic impressions. As a member of the “Fighting First” Infantry group, you’ll be given the school of soldiering with the group, learning the various commands of the soldier. We will guide you down the road to the past, so that you and your family will enjoy the Living History of those hard and cruel times during the Civil War.
Most importantly, we love to have fun and enrich your life!
